Do you need help finding dedicated time to work on your dissertation or research papers? Do you find it challenging to focus amidst the numerous distractions of daily life?

​

I am excited to invite you to our weekly "Shut Up and Write" sessions online. These sessions are designed specifically for PhD students who want to make significant progress in their writing. 

​​

Session Format:​

  • Coffee chat & goal setting = 15m

  • Writing Block 1 = 50m

  • Break = 10m

  • Writing Block 2 = 50m

  • Break = 10m

  • Writing Block 3 = 50m

  • Reflection on achievements = 15m

​​Why Participate?

 

1. Structured Writing Time: Each session consists of three focused blocks of 50 minutes, with 10-minute breaks in between. This Pomodoro Technique-inspired structure helps maintain high levels of productivity and concentration.

​

2. Accountability: Writing can be a solitary activity, but joining a community of peers working towards similar goals makes it much easier to stay motivated and committed.

​

3. Consistent Progress: Regular, dedicated writing time ensures you steadily advance your research and writing, reducing the stress and pressure often associated with deadlines.

4. Supportive Environment: The sessions create a supportive and distraction-free space where you can fully concentrate on your work, knowing that others are doing the same.​
